We are looking for experienced team players to fill the Senior Backend Test Automation Engineer position and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the iLottery industry.
You can Expect:
- Develop and maintain automated tests for RESTful APIs using Rest Assured
- Build and enhance test frameworks in Java
- Write BDD-style test scenarios using Cucumber
- Manage and execute test suites with TestNG
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand backend logic and architecture
- Analyze test results, report issues, and verify fixes
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to test strategy and planning
- Maintain test documentation and ensure high test coverage
- Support CI/CD integration of automated tests
Requirements
- Min 5 years of experience in backend test automation
- Strong proficiency in Java
- Hands-on experience with Rest Assured
- Solid knowledge of Cucumber and TestNG
- Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols
- Experience with Git and version control workflows
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Excellent communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with JSON schema validation
- Knowledge of API mocking tools
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with JIRA or similar project management tools
