We are looking for experienced team players to fill the position of C++ Support Engineer L1 / L2 and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the automotive industry.
Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 production support for C++ components used in service/integration layers (where applicable: web-facing flows and backend runtimes).
- Coordinate escalations to L3 engineering for deep fixes; manage communication, follow-up and closure.
- Execute advanced triage: analyze logs, collect diagnostic evidence (dumps/traces when available), correlate monitoring signals, and support RCA.
- Support releases/rollouts and production cutovers; ensure operational readiness and documentation.
- Build and maintain runbooks/KB; drive repeat-incident reduction and improved MTTR.
- Work in a shift model (08:00–18:00) with occasional on-call/weekend support during rollouts/releases.
Requirements
- 5–10 years in L1/L2 production support or maintenance/support of C++ applications in enterprise environments.
- Practical diagnostics skills (logs, troubleshooting, basic performance triage; familiarity with crash evidence).
- Experience working with SLAs and cross-team collaboration.
- DMS or Automotive experience; performance/stability hardening exposure.
- German B2+ and English B2+.
Preferred:
- ITIL Incident/Problem/Change; structured documentation and knowledge management.
