Job Description

ITMAGINATION, now part of the Virtusa Group helps its Clients by becoming a true extension of their software and data development capabilities. Through the readily set up, comprehensive, and self-governing teams, we let our Clients focus on their business while we make sure that their software products and data tools scale up accordingly and with outstanding quality.

We are looking for experienced team players to fill the position of Operations Engineer - Support Line 2 and participate in our up-and-coming project for our client from the medical industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict adherence to change control, incident, and problem management processes in accordance with ITIL standards.
  • Prepare, distribute, and update technical documentation related to medical devices, including networking procedures, device specifications, user guides, and runbooks.
  • Monitor and support production systems using cloud-native and third-party tools to ensure optimal system availability and compliance.
  • Write and optimize SQL/Postgres queries to diagnose issues and analyze data quality.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts, implement temporary workarounds, document findings thoroughly, and recommend proactive solutions.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in an L2 Application Support role.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in cloud-based environments with extensive knowledge in operations.
  • Proficiency in Linux, OS administration, networking, databases, virtual machines, containerized applications, and API-based applications.
  • Experience with MS Azure, including App Services, App Gateways, Key Vaults, Functions, PostgreSQL databases, VNETs, Log Analytics, and App Insights. Preferred: Microsoft 
  • Knowledge of ITIL and experience in managing service management and executing surrounding processes.
  • Skills in proactive monitoring, incident response, and technical documentation.
  • Implementation of proactive monitoring techniques, incident response, and creation of technical runbooks.
  • Experience with Azure Native Monitoring Tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, AppInsights, LogAnalytics, Dashboards, Grafana, Zabbix).
  • Ability to write SQL/Postgres queries for data and problem analysis.
  • Previous experience working with medical device software and/or FMC software.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills in a global setting.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
