Job Description

ITMAGINATION, now part of a Virtusa Group helps its Clients by becoming a true extension of their software and data development capabilities. Through the readily set up, comprehensive, and self-governing teams, we let our Clients focus on their business while we make sure that their software products and data tools scale up accordingly and with outstanding quality.
We are looking for team player to fill DevOps Engineer position in a dynamic international project for the customer from ilottery industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Hybrid Migration Strategy: Design and execute the migration path for Jenkins, build artifacts, and existing pipelines from AWS to On-Prem. Ensure transitions are seamless for development teams with zero-downtime.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain production-grade Ansible playbooks and Terraform configurations to treat the local data center like a programmable cloud.

  • Secure Software Supply Chain: Lead "Shift Left" security initiatives. Standardize base images, enforce non-root execution, and integrate automated security scanning directly into the CI/CD flow.

  • Local Cloud Services: Architect and manage local S3-compatible storage (MinIO). Ensure high availability, data persistence, and robust backup strategies for stateful services running on-premise.

  • Developer Self-Service: Build and maintain internal tooling that allows developers to provision their own environments and deploy code via automation, eliminating manual ticketing.

Requirements

  • Linux Mastery: Expert-level administration of RHEL/CentOS (Systemd, Advanced Networking, SELinux hardening).

  • CI/CD Orchestration: Deep experience with Jenkins (Configuration as Code) and migrating complex, multi-stage pipelines across heterogeneous environments.

  • Configuration Management: Mastery of Ansible (writing custom Roles, Collections, and managing secrets via Vault).

  • Container Networking: Strong understanding of CNI (Cilium/Calico) and how Kubernetes interacts with physical networks (BGP, MetalLB, Load Balancers).

  • Storage & Data: Hands-on experience managing S3-compatible storage and understanding Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs) in an on-premise Kubernetes context.

Soft Skills:

  • Mentoring & Leadership: Guide the team through the technical shift from AWS to local infrastructure. Perform code reviews and establish "On-Prem Best Practices."

  • Ownership & Proactivity

  • Goal-Oriented Delivery

  • Communication: Clearly articulate the trade-offs between cloud-native services and their on-premise equivalents to stakeholders and architects.

Benefits

  • Remote work from Poland
  • Professional training programs – including Udemy and other development plans
  • Work with a team that’s recognized for its excellence. We’ve been featured in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 & FT 1000 rankings. We’ve also received the Great Place To Work® certification for five years in a row
