Virtusa is looking for a specialized AI UX/UI Senior Engineer to join our design practice in Poland. This is not a traditional web design role; you will be at the forefront of Human-AI Interaction (HAI), designing the interfaces for next-generation copilots, chatbots, and recommendation engines. With 6–8 years of experience, you will be responsible for creating intuitive, trust-based experiences that bridge the gap between complex AI logic and user-centric design. You will define how users interact with "black box" AI systems, ensuring transparency, explainability, and high adoption across enterprise applications.
Requirements
- Professional Tenure: 6–8 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating complex enterprise-grade applications. Experience specifically in AI/ML-driven products is highly preferred.
- Tooling Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Figma (including advanced components, variables, and auto-layout). Proficiency in Sketch or Adobe XD is expected.
- AI/ML Literacy: Strong conceptual understanding of how Large Language Models (LLMs), NLP, and Recommendation Systems work. You must understand concepts like latency, non-determinism, and data grounding to design effective interfaces.
- Interaction Design for AI: Proven experience designing for conversational interfaces (chatbots), sidecar "copilot" patterns, and automated decision-support systems.
- Explainable UI (XUI): Demonstrated ability to design "explainability" into interfaces—making it clear to users why an AI provided a certain result.
- User Research & Analytics: Deep experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Ability to analyze user behavior data to iterate on AI-driven recommendation logic.
- Accessibility: Comprehensive knowledge of WCAG 2.1+ standards and how to apply them to dynamic AI content that changes in real-time.
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with how front-end frameworks (React/Next.js) consume AI APIs to ensure your designs are technically feasible.
- Visual Design Excellence: Strong eye for typography, color theory, and layout, with the ability to maintain a consistent visual language across global platforms.
- Agile Proficiency: Experience working in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment, utilizing Jira for task management and design handoffs.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills. You must be able to articulate "the why" behind design decisions to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Language Skills: Professional English (C1) is mandatory for collaboration with our international design and engineering leadership.
- Educational Background: Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
